About

My journey

Father of three, entrepreneur, researcher of wisdom traditions. Twenty years across continents studying living traditions. This is how The Path came to be.

What I do

I am a father of three, an entrepreneur, and a researcher of wisdom traditions. I offer one-to-one tailored mentoring through The Path, and I write and create content on the relationship between ancient wisdom and modern science.

My approach is straightforward. Rather than treating our ancestors as superstitious fools, I approach the world's traditions as serious methodology refined over millennia. I find modern science a fascinating approach in its own right: with its own methods it keeps finding things humanity has long examined from other angles, while opening entirely new fields of inquiry. I work where science and tradition meet.

The early road

I spent my youth studying the wisdom of the world's oldest cultures. The questions started early: why did ancient cultures build massive geometric structures, why did they invest so much in life after death, why did they treat their oldest songs as their most valuable inheritance?

These questions took me across continents over more than a decade. From the forests of Lapland to the temples of India, through the desert traditions of the Near East and the surviving fragments of pre-Christian European wisdom.

Initiation into the Vedic tradition

My journey culminated in a deep initiation into the Vedic tradition, specifically a tantric yoga lineage that has preserved its inner technology relatively intact. The training lasted years. I learned what these methods feel like from the inside, and what they ask of the practitioner, before I started teaching any of them.

This foundation comes through practice as much as through books. As I sometimes put it: studying traditions without practicing them is like studying the sauna without ever stepping inside.

Bringing the method to Finland — 2012

In 2012 I brought to Finland the yoga method known as shakta yoga. Over the following decade I trained more than 300 yoga teachers and taught thousands of practitioners. This work gave me an irreplaceable view of where modern people actually get stuck on their path, which shortcuts genuinely work, and which detours lead nowhere.

Experience has particularly taught me to spot the shortcuts and the dangers precisely. I have made mistakes along the way and I have changed my mind when the evidence demanded it. If something I once taught turns out to be wrong, you will hear it from me first.

The origin of The Path

Through experience I recognize the most common challenges people meet when pursuing their goals today. Inspired by these observations, I focused for two years on developing The Path. The program is designed to help anyone reach the foundations of a good life that have been valued for millennia: optimal mental and physical health, a deep connection to all that is, and a clear place and purpose in the world.

The Path is not a course. It is a tailored mentoring process that adapts to where you actually are. The process has been refined over more than a decade of practical work with people from very different starting points.

How I work

I work mostly online, though people often come to meet me in person where I am — frequently in Porvoo, Finland. The mentoring is one-to-one and the timing fits your life. I take a small number of practitioners at a time so the work stays attentive.

For Finnish-speaking practitioners I also host a monthly TIE evening on Zoom: an open satsang-style gathering where I teach briefly and answer questions.
